WHAT WE DO
Glen Manor Galleries is your formal decorating and Antique Store all rolled into one convenient company.
On August 4th , 1974 while working in an investment firm in downtown Toronto. Three of my close friends convinced me to open an Antique store. The first store was located at 2188 Queen St E, Toronto.
Carl Booth Was one of my first regular clients & bought from me weekly. As a result we became fast friends. The Following year we move to 2754 Queen St E.
During my very 1st week of business I got a call to view the estate of Robert Davies , QC. His Family had owned Dominion breweries which later turned into the now Canadian Breweries. He was sol pleased with our work that he contacted us to handle the disposal of the Edward Eatons Estate in Forest Hill, ON.
In 1980 We opened a 2nd store at 102 Avenue Road, Toronto. Carl ran one store and I ran the other store on queen street, until 1989.
In 1989 we bought and opened a small store in Shakespeare, ON , just outside of Stratford, ON . This store was so successful that we bought the larger building next door and renovated it to open it in 1990.
The Queen Street Store we closed in 1988 and the Avenue Road Store 1990. Both of these stores were consolidated into one main store where we are still here as of today.
Carla Booth unfortunately in 2014 developed Alzheimer’s, which a year later in 2015 he had to leave the business altogether. Sadly Carl passed away on February 20, 2020 leaving Brian Campbell to carry out the running of the business.

DECORATING IN THE
VICTORIAN STYLE
The Entire house does not need to look like grandmas house from the 1930s. It is important to merge the modern with the old.
